Volunteer Roles for East Palo Alto Anniversary Film Festival

 

Here are some of the jobs that will be need to be filled for the festival:

 

  • Direct the audience to seating and hand out program

     

  • Operate the VCR, DVD player and the projector during the festival

  • Help assemble the screen, set up video and audio systems, and pick up and return rented equipment.

     

  • Prepare, bag and pass out popcorn and handle refreshments

     

  • Organize and manage discussion groups following films, including meeting visiting filmmakers and speakers and introducing them to the audience

     

  • Distribute flyers door-to-door and posting flyers in businesses and public spaces

     

  • Work with agencies and schools that can distribute flyers internal

     

  • Help with the writing, graphic design and production of flyers and the program

     

  • Generate publicity for the Festival, such as getting it listed in calendars and sending out

    press releases
