CityTeam Ministries

CityTeam Website
City Team's East Palo Alto outreach provides hope, love, and support to at-risk children and their families. We provide a safe atmosphere away from all the gangs, violence and drugs where kids can learn basic life skills and spiritual principles. Our long-term vision for our learning center is to be able to help kids find their talents and assist them through college. In East Palo Alto, CityTeam Ministries' caring staff build nurturing relationships with the inner city youth on a personal and academic level. With Bible clubs, tutoring and one-on-one times, CityTeam mentors the choices of our youth and helps build leaders of tomorrow.

CityTeam East Palo Alto offers several different programs that reach out to those severely in need. All of these programs give a chance for our staff and volunteers to consistently walk along side someone and explain God's unconditional love for them in order to formulate an everlasting real change in their lives. We are deeply involved in their lives 365 days a year. It is an important ministry to reach out to these kids and give them the necessary tools and mentoring to make wise decisions in their lives.

Youth Programs
There are two main Christ-centered youth programs that focus on teaching children about Jesus Christ. One includes children from the ages of 5 up to 5th grade. The other is for Junior High. We also have a handful of High school students and have recently launched a High school program! With a combination of fun, games, interactive Bible teaching, creative ways to help children memorize, lots of prayer, hugs, laughter and a safe place to be, kids learn more about our Savior.

Upside Down Learning Center
The educational level is lower than average in East Palo Alto compared to the rest of the Bay Area. Less than 15% of the cities adult population have earned a bachelor's degree or higher. Most did not graduate from junior high or high school. It is crucial for our children to get an education! Our learning center is a place that offers help and positive encouragement.
