Networking
and Referrals
One
of the most valuable benefits of EPABHCC membership is the opportunity
that meetings provide for business owners to network and receive
customer referrals. By sharing information with other business owners
about one's own business members of referrals they receive.
How
it works is simple: EPABHCC members spend a portion of each membership
meeting/mixer introducing themselves to fellow members and describing
the products and services they provide, especially any news of new
offerings. In so doing, each business owner creates not only a roomful
of new potential customers, but also a roomful of individuals able
to refer others to his or her business.
Publicity
for Your Business
As
a new member, your organization will be listed in the Chamber's
newsletter. All members are listed in the Annual Chamber Directory.
Your organization will also have the opportunity to sponsor events
and/or advertise in the Chamber publications.
Education
EPABHCC
recognizes that timely information is essential to the success of
any business. Accordingly, EPABHCC regularly pairs with local community
organizations such as EPA CAN DO and Start Up to provide Chamber
members with informational workshops and seminars on topics of paricular
importance to business owners.
EPABHCC
is also aware that business success depends on a well-qualified
and loyal human workforce. Allowing and promoting professional development
and skills improvement training for your valuable employees can
propel your business to the top. EPABHCC's partnership with key
local training agencies can help make your workforce more productive.
Mentoring
EPABHCC
gives you the opportunity to either mentor another member or to
pair you with another member to mentor you in some area of need.
Advocacy
EPABHCC
will work as an advocate for business to represent your interest
by communicating with local and regional official as issues arise.
EPABHCC will keep it's membership informed about politics and opportunities
for business growth and development.

Member Rates at Chamber Events
Members
receive special discounted rates for Chamber events.
Participation
in the Organization
All
members are encouraged to join committes to make the organization
more effective. Some of the committes you can join are: Finance,
Membership, Fund Development, Professional Development/Events and
Advocacy. All members, other than Associate Members, have the right
to vote for EPABHCC's Board of Directors. All members, other than
Associate Members and Individuals may run for a seat on the Board.
Official
Membership Certificate
Each
member receives an official framed EPABHCC membership certificate
and a decal for display in their place of business. This visible
proof of membership allows members to demonstrate their commitment
to providing customers with the highest standards of quality and
service. Membership certificates and decals are also a means for
members to highlight their commitment to improving the larger East
Palo Alto-Belle Haven business community. |
