20th Anniversary General Committee to meet May 12
A committee chaired by East Palo Alto’s first Mayor, Ms Barbara Mouton and comprised of other public officials, residents, and representatives from various non-profit organizations has held meetings for the last several months to plan festivities to commemorate the City of East Palo Alto’s 20th Anniversary of Incorporation.
For those interested to be involved, the next meeting of the Committee will be May 12, 6:30PM in the Community Room of the East Palo Alto City Hall at 2145 University Avenue.

At a meeting last fall, Maxine Sykes, MSW, with Family Support of the Mid-Peninsula in East Palo Alto, responded to a question posed by Dr. Michael Greenberg, Assistant Health Officer for San Mateo County Health Services Agency. “What are your concerns for children in your community?”
Maxine replied, “We’re most concerned about asthma among our children because that’s what I see and what our home visitors see. Some kids in this community seem to have colds year round...
