Ciudad de EPA tiene Sessión de Estudio sobre Conversiones de Garajes
By / Por Dennis J. Parker
On July 28, 2004, the East Palo Alto City Council held a study session to discuss illegal garage conversions. Although this has been a continuously emotional
issue, there was a great deal of consensus by the end of the meeting:

When I lost my mother at age 10, I couldn't help but wonder about all the things I might have
said to her but never had the chance to say, such as how much I loved her.
The single comfort I have had for this persistent feeling was that I was only 10-years-old at the time

a program of the San Mateo County Health Services Agency for men who are parents.

EPA resident takes a journey through local government
By Rosemary Burgess

In retrospect it has been a year of many hours spent in meetings, interviews and research,
with additional hours preparing reports. Although being a juror required a high level of time
and energy, it was highly informative and very rewarding.
The Civil Grand Jury is comprised of 19 members selected by ballot from a pool of applicants.
The purpose of the Grand Jury is to monitor and examine the performance of local government.

"An Island Off the Coast of East Palo Alto"
By Sr. Janet Barrett, D.C., Development Director
St. Elizabeth Seton School is located in a beautiful residential area on
Channing Avenue in Palo Alto. The approach to the school is down a street
with mature trees on both sides, their leaves touching overhead.
Every school day some 275 children, at least 90% of whom are from East Palo Alto
or Belle Haven/East Menlo Park, come down Channing to this school that provides a high
quality academic Catholic education for the children of the East of Bayshore communities.
