"We've waited long enough. EPA deserves a supermarket!"

Coalition holds prayer vigil at City Hall
The twenty-acre lot at Bay and University has been empty over fifteen
years. Formerly the lot was the site of the Nairobi Shoping Center. In
this city without a supermarket, this property remains the most likely
site for a new one.
On Sunday, March 13th, community and faith-based organizations held a
prayer vigil in front of City Hall, across the street from the vacant lot,
to help speed a new supermarket into existence.

Preserving families by assisting kin caregivers
By Yvette De Andreis
Community Relations Coordinator,
Edgewood Center for Children and Families
When Falope Fatunmise was seven years old, his mother died
and he was suddenly homeless. If his aunt and uncle hadn't offered to take him in,

Falope has never forgotten this kindness and has dedicated himself to helping
other kin caregivers who want to keep families together. Today Falope is the
Director of Edgewood's Kinship Support Network (KSN) which serves families
at sites in East Palo Alto, South San Francisco, and San Francisco.

Every day of your life counts. You can't play at living.
